Our in-house wind-tunnel has been constructed for gauging and calibrating flow-tubes and allows us to measure components at rates up to 50 m/s.

To receive the optimal air-stream, the wind-tunnel has a chamber with flow-straightener and two meshes. The air-stream is produced by a compressor; the recovery of the flow-energy is carried out via two plenum-chambers.

Measure Section

The wind-tunnel has an octagonal mesuring section with a diameter of 200 mm. The section is 360 mm long; larger diameters can be accomplished by replacing the injector and the first diffusor, corequisitely reducing the speed. The declination of the object can be changed 30 (up/down). Axially, the tube can be turned by 360.

Measure Equipment

The tunnel has precise pressure, temperature and slope-angle-sensors with adequate electronic instruments. The results can directly be transmitted to a PC.
